Surgical Prep Solutions

To reduce the risk of cross-contamination or postoperative wound infection; physicians, surgeons, nurses and health care providers routinely utilize surgical prep solutions to clean a surgical site prior to an invasive procedure or surgery. Some of the antimicrobial agents used in the preparation of a surgical site and the surrounding areas are Povidone-Iodine, Betadine, Hibiclens, Alcohol swab sticks, and convenient ChloraPrep Applicators. Physicians can also choose from either regular or ultra-fine tip sterile surgical skin markers that are prep resistant and used prior to surgery to identify areas of concentration during a procedure.
